Social media measured in enquiries, not followers
Content for the one or two platforms your buyers actually use, published consistently, and reported against what it produced rather than how many people liked it.
What social media marketing means
Social media marketing is the work of building an audience and generating business through social platforms. Done seriously it means choosing few platforms rather than all of them, publishing consistently enough to compound, and measuring against enquiries rather than against engagement metrics that do not correlate with revenue.
Most social media effort is spread too thin to work. A business opens accounts on five platforms, posts to all of them for two months, runs out of energy, and is left with five neglected profiles that make it look less credible than none would have. The problem is not the content; it is that consistent presence on one platform beats sporadic presence on five, and almost nobody has the capacity for five.
So the first decision is subtraction. Where do your buyers actually spend attention, and where can you sustain a publishing rhythm indefinitely? For a B2B manufacturer that is usually LinkedIn and nothing else. For a consumer brand it is likely Instagram. Getting this right costs nothing and determines everything that follows.
What's included
Platform selection
An honest assessment of where your buyers are and what you can sustain, usually ending with fewer platforms than you currently maintain.
Content strategy
Themes and formats tied to what your audience needs to know before buying, rather than a calendar filled with occasions and generic posts.
Content production
Posts, graphics and short video written and designed for the platform, in the language your audience uses — including Tamil where that is the audience.
Publishing and community
Scheduled publishing plus actually responding to comments and messages, since an unanswered enquiry in a comment thread is a lost customer.
Paid amplification
Budget behind the content that is already performing organically, which is a far better use of spend than promoting posts because they were scheduled.
Reporting
Reach and engagement, but reported alongside profile visits, link clicks and the enquiries that came through, so the value is legible.
The process, step by step
- 01
Audience and platform research
Who buys from you, where they spend attention, and what they engage with — including looking at what your competitors publish and what actually earns response rather than what they post most.
- 02
Positioning and themes
Three or four content themes you can credibly own and sustain. A business that posts about everything is memorable for nothing.
- 03
Production rhythm
A cadence you can maintain for a year, not a month. Twice a week indefinitely beats daily for six weeks and then silence, both for the algorithm and for credibility.
- 04
Publish and engage
Content goes out on schedule and conversations are answered promptly. Response time in comments and messages is part of the work, not an afterthought.
- 05
Amplify what works
Organic performance identifies what deserves budget. Putting spend behind proven content is more efficient than designing campaigns from scratch.
- 06
Review and adjust
Monthly review of what earned attention and what produced enquiries — the two lists differ, and the second one drives the plan.
Who this is for
B2B credibility
LinkedIn presence that makes buyers comfortable before a call, where the audience is small and the value per relationship is high.
Consumer brands
Instagram and short video where discovery genuinely happens and visual product presentation drives demand.
Local businesses
Community-level presence and reviews, where being visibly active locally matters more than national reach.
Recruitment and employer brand
Content that helps you hire, which for growing businesses is often worth more than the marketing value.
How we approach it differently
- Fewer platforms, done properlyWe will recommend closing accounts you cannot sustain. Neglected profiles cost credibility rather than saving effort.
- Reported against enquiriesEngagement is an input. The monthly report shows what social produced in business terms, including when that is little.
- Cadence you can sustainA rhythm designed for a year, because consistency is what compounds and bursts are what get abandoned.
- Conversations answeredComments and messages are handled, since an ignored question in public is worse than not posting.

Social Media Marketing: common questions
How many platforms should we be on?
Usually one or two, done properly. The instinct to be everywhere produces thin presence everywhere, and a dormant profile signals a business that has lost interest. We would rather help you close three accounts and be genuinely good on one.
How long before social produces enquiries?
For B2B, months rather than weeks — social usually assists a decision rather than starting one, and attribution reflects that. For consumer brands with paid amplification it can be faster. Anyone promising immediate enquiry volume from organic social is describing paid advertising with extra steps.
Should we post in Tamil or English?
Whichever your buyers use, which for many Tamil Nadu businesses means both, and often the mix people actually speak. We test rather than assume — engagement patterns answer this question within a few weeks and the answer varies more by industry than people expect.
Do follower counts matter?
Far less than they appear to. A thousand followers who are genuine buyers outperform ten thousand who are not, and bought followers actively harm reach because engagement rate falls. We report reach and enquiries rather than treating follower count as the goal.
Can you handle both organic and paid?
Yes, and they work best together — organic performance shows which content deserves budget, which is more efficient than designing paid campaigns in isolation. Substantial paid budgets usually belong under performance marketing, where the measurement and structure are different.
What if we have nothing interesting to post about?
Almost every business does; it is usually invisible from the inside. How things are made, what goes wrong and how it is fixed, the questions customers ask — this is genuinely interesting to buyers and invisible to competitors. Part of the strategy work is finding it.
